The Sky in Layers, Daniella Portillo
February 2025
Long Meadow Art Residency worked with the Arts & Powerhouse Building in Jersey City to curate an exhibition of work by Daniella Portillo in honor of the opening of the building. The A&P building has committed to dedicate $250,000 in support of Jersey City artists. The show, titled 'The Sky in Layers' features 11 new works by Portillo and "examines the sky as a dynamic space of memory, atmosphere, and transformation. Through veils of color, textured surfaces, and luminous gradients, she captures the sky's fleeting and layered nature -- a shifting threshold between presence and impermanence."
Norton Museum of Art, Dani Portillo
